There are numerous ways to make money off the software niche. If you’re able to write code, then you probably have the upper hand, but you can definitely profit off of other people’s software as well. For starters, you can always host a freeware site and make money off the traffic. Or you can host paid software and make money off of software affiliate programs and the like.

If you’re able to code, or if you have some great ideas and are able to find a reliable programmer, there’s even more potential. Freeware can work on many levels – everyone’s looking for free software, so the traffic potential is enormous. You can distribute your software to the thousands of freeware sites (there are great automated ways to do this), and benefit from the thousands of great backlinks to your site. You can also experiment with bundling some pay-per-install applications with your own software. And of course, if your product is useful enough and there’s enough demand, you can sell it at a reasonable price. If people are willing to buy your software, you have even more opportunities, as you can advertise with PPC and banners ( on relevant niche-targeted sites, of course ).

I do like to support people who make great software that I use on a daily basis. One such product, and a perfect example of taking advantage of the software niche is Format HTML. Format HTML is a code beautifier that you run against your messy HTML (or even Coldfusion code) and it will instantly format and indent HTML. It inspects all your mark up tags (HTML, CFML, XML, etc.) and will indent them according to which tags you decide should be handled by modifying a config.ini file. You simply drag and drop your files or folders onto Format HTML and the program will make backups of all your files first and then clean up all the file types specified in the config.ini file. Lastly, it can be easily used with CFEclipse, Eclipse, DreamWeaver, HomeSite, or any other editor for tidying up your code. I use it on a lot of my websites (especially the ones where I spend a lot of time tweaking the html) and it has worked out great.

We spend so much time on computers these days, surely you have some good ideas for software that would make your life easier. I’ve only scratched the surface on the software niche marketing, I have plans to go more in depth over the next couple months. Stay tuned!

For those who read my blog on a regular basis, you know I’m a big fan of BANS (Build A Niche Store). But I think that is about to change. A lot of BANS users always ask “How do you implement BANS with WordPress?” That is where PhpBay Pro comes in. I just got this plugin and I’m hooked! It’s super easy to implement your content with ebay products within wordpress. There are some examples on this page in previous posts.

Many software products have been created that claim to be able to provide users with a steady source of affiliate income. The problem with these products is that they rarely live up to the expectations of their users. If you have ever been disappointed by a software product that promises affiliate income you should consider using phpBay Pro.

phpBay Pro is an exciting new product that actually works. When added to your existing php powered website or WordPress blog phpBay Pro will encourage your visitors to sign up for eBay and make purchases. You will earn a commission each and every time your visitors sign up for a new eBay account. If you are worried about not making money through eBay sign ups don’t despair, eBay will give you a commission each time a website user places a winning bid on the auctions listed on your site with phpBay Pro.

In addition to providing you with a chance to earn affiliate income through eBay, phpBay Pro gives you the chance to add keyword rich content to your website or WordPress blog. This additional content will help increase your websites value and reputation with search engines. A higher search engine ranking will expose your website to even more visitors increasing your chances of earning affiliate income through eBay.

Another benefit of using phpBay Pro is you do not have to limit your earning potential to eBay alone. This amazing program can be used with other affiliate programs including Mediaplex and the popular Pepperjam affiliate network. Once you choose what affiliate program you want to use phpBay Pro lets you set up multiple stores designed to target a specific customer base or niche that is unique to your website or WordPress blog.

If your website is targeted to visitors from a specific reason you have the option of restricting your auction listings to items located in a certain area. With phpBay pro you can list items that are located in 17 different regions. The auction listings will be displayed in the currency and language of the region or country that has been specified by the user. There is even the option to list items using postal zip codes creating an extremely specific list of auction items that is perfect for websites and WordPress blogs aimed towards the residents of certain city or town.

One of the best features of phpBay Pro is the customer service and support that is offered by the creators. phpBay Pro has been available since 2006 and upgrades are constantly being made to make sure the product is supports the most recent, and popular affiliate program. More importantly, installation support and detailed documentation is provided to all new customers. No more worrying about purchasing a software product that you cannot use. The creators of phpBay Pro have made it easy for users to get the product online and earning affiliate income.

Website owners that have been trying to find a way to increase their affiliate income should consider using phpBay Pro. It is one product that makes it possible to earn additional revenue with any existing php driven website or WordPress blog.

Now, I know a lot of you might be thinking to your self “yeah right, adwords is dead.” But I’m here to share some tips on how to use some CPA offers and low CPC adwords to profit big.

I just signed up with the popular publisher program Market Leverage. After ignoring all the buzz and ads on almost every blog, I decided to give in and join. I received a call yesterday from my affiliate manager and we set everything up. I didn’t realize the huge potential of money involved in this affiliate network.

I was browsing the network and saw the potential for profit. Some advertisers are willing to pay $38 per lead and not per sale. I came across some affiliate products that a lot of people are searching for on the web. I found a few Google products to promote, one specifically dealing with adwords and SEO. It’s the Google SEO Supervisor.

Google SEO Supervisor is a home business kit that teaches people how to work from home and profit from Google. The produce involves the following;

How to take advantage of Google Adwords.

How to find the right target keywords.

How you could get 10,000 visitors daily.

How to optimize your website for Google. (Website included with kit!)

How to find profitable products and ideas. (Wholesale club included with kit!)

Plus much more.

It has a nice landing page that looks like it converts well and they pay $30 PER LEAD! That means every person you send and fills out the form to receive the software, you get $30 for the referral. That’s it, no selling involved, just promote the product and let the site do the rest.

So why am I telling you this? So you can go out and promote this product and earn $30 per lead. I definitely recommend that you sign up with Market Leverage and take advantage of some of the affiliate programs they have to offer.

Now for the best part. Here are some cheap exact keywords you could use to promote this product.

KEYWORDS

COST PER CLICK

SEARCHES PER MONTH

[making money with adwords]

$0.05

1,000

[adwords bids]

$0.05

880

[adwords terms]

$0.05

590

[googles adwords]

$0.05

390

[the definitive guide to adwords]

$0.05

260

[adwords made easy]

$0.05

210

[adwords suggestions]

$0.05

110

These are the cheapest keywords I could find in the Google Adwords niche. I’m sure you could find more.

Now it’s up to you to take action and sign up for Market Leverage, use the best keywords for your Adwords advertising campaign, and start advertising on Google Adwords.

Remember, You get $30 per lead and not per sale. There are plenty of other affiliate programs that pay well, make sure you check them out.

I look forward to your comments and replies.

Micro Niche Finder Tool Review

Now I know you might be thinking, “oh no, another affiliate review.” I assure you this is quite the opposite. I know and have read many affiliate reviews that are just copied reviews from the affiliate section of the product the person is writing about. I’m sick and tired of all the lies that some affiliate marketer’s will say just to get a buck. Well, you don’t have to feel that way with me. Every time you read a review from me, I guarantee it will be 100% my HONEST opinion.

I purchased the Micro Niche Finder tool back in May 2008. I paid my $67 dollars for the software, then downloaded and installed it immediately. My first impression of the software was that it was simply amazing. I searched for different terms, getting excellent search results and low competition. It also provided me with the cost per click price for the keywords I was searching for. Micro Niche Finder does an excellent job with storing the previous keywords you had searched for, making it easy to go back and review your keyword search results. Another benefit this tool includes is the “brain storm” button on the top right side of the software. The brain storm button will generate random searches from Google Suggest, helping if you’re ever stuck and need new material. It also has a feature called the S.O.C or “Strength of Competition”. The S.O.C. help determine the competition of websites for the specific keyword of your choice.

Though the software seems promising, it also (in my opinion) has major flaws. Micro Niche Finder runs off of Wordtracker. It gets all of the keywords from Google Suggest then matches them with Wordtracker search counts. So the results come from mixing two different sources that gather data differently, then combining them to generate the search numbers. I was a bit confused and contacted James Jones who is the owner of the software. This is the the email reply I got back from James Jones. James states, “Phrases come from Google Suggest. Counts come from Wordtracker.” Now, Wordtracker uses different meta crawlers than Google to determine it’s search counts. What this means is that the search numbers that Wordtracker provides are off when you compare them to Google’s. Come on, let’s be honest, it’s almost everyones goal to be indexed in Google. How are we suppose to determine what keywords to use if we don’t get accurate search results? If you want an example of this visit my previous post about Wordtracker search results here.

One last thing I forgot to mention is the support. James Jones does an excellent job responding to any emails or questions you may have about the software. I have emailed him numerous time regarding some issues I had with the software and he was prompt to answer them.

Would I recommend Micro Niche Finder? No, I would not recommend this tool. Based on the search count inaccuracies of the software, I don’t think it’s a wise investment of $67. You should save your money and use the free keyword tools out there like, the SEO Book keyword tool and the Google keyword tool. Sometimes the best things in life are FREE.

I’m looking forward to your comments.

Jerry
